Layups from Parx Racing
Three hours north of Parx, Green Meadow Farm takes layups and rehab for Pennsylvania-based thoroughbreds. Trainers ship up I-95 to the Tappan Zee and across; we handle the rest.
Parx campaigns are long and the surface is honest but demanding. Horses come in for real breaks: rehab paddocks, second-cut orchard-grass hay, cold saltwater spa, and the quiet a racehorse needs. Most stays run 60 to 120 days; shorter freshening or longer soft-tissue rehab by arrangement.
We coordinate shipping with East Coast vans (Sallee, Brook Ledge, and Bob Hubbard all run this corridor regularly), work directly with your primary veterinarian, and send weekly written progress reports with photos.
For Pennsylvania-bred bonuses, we can hold horses through the required residency for eligible programs if that's part of the plan — talk to us before shipping.
