Layups from Belmont Park
Two hours up the Taconic from Belmont Park, Green Meadow Farm offers quiet, full-care layups and rehab for NYRA-stabled horses. Direct vans arrive most often within 24 hours of pickup at the Belmont backside.
Belmont trainers send runners to us for post-race recovery, soft-tissue rehab, and seasonal turnout when the dorms close down or during the Aqueduct/Belmont relocation cycle. We're purpose-built for racetrack horses coming down: dedicated rehab paddocks, deep straw, twice-daily stall checks, and 24/7 staff on the property.
We coordinate directly with Rood & Riddle, Rhinebeck Equine, and whichever primary vet is managing the horse. Direct vans through Sallee and Brook Ledge in and out of Belmont, Aqueduct, and Saratoga; weekly written progress reports with photos so the trainer and owner are never surprised.
Belmont's stakes horses often need a real 60-to-90-day letdown between campaigns — that's the sweet spot our program is built for.
