Monmouth's meet is short and sharp — end of May through Labor Day, with the Haskell as the highlight. We've taken horses off the Monmouth backside for over a decade, most often after the summer meet for a 60-to-90-day turn-out, sometimes for soft-tissue rehab, occasionally as a permanent retirement placement for a barn's older campaigner.

Direct vans up the Garden State Parkway and across via I-287, full-care boarding, weekly photo updates, and the same long-tenured staff every day — the same people who know each horse by name and habit, year after year.

For Jersey-Bred restricted programs, we can hold horses through residency requirements when that's part of the plan.

Common Questions

Shipping from Monmouth Park

Do you take horses for permanent retirement?
Yes. Retired horses live out in small compatible herds with year-round care, including end-of-life management handled with dignity.
Can you hold a horse for NJ-bred residency?
When it's part of the plan, yes — let us know the program requirements before the horse ships.
What happens at the end of the Monmouth meet?
September is our busiest intake window from Oceanport. Book early; stalls and rehab paddocks fill quickly after Labor Day.
